I’m having a total blast here in the city with everyone. And let me just say, Foodbuzz KNOWS how to throw a party! And give awesome swag bags—

IMG_1155

Since we last chatted, I ate a Pure Bar (winners announced below!!) and did a quickie upper body workout in the hotel gym. Then, my roomie and I headed upstairs to the terrace cocktail party to meet everyone! I tried an “autumn apple martini”, which was the drink of the night—

It was good…but a little sweet so I only drank half. Kath was drinking bourbon and I took a few sips but I’m still recovering from my Booker’s on Monday night so went with water.

We mingled for awhile and then at 7:00, walked across the street to the ferry building where a FEAST in the form of street vendors was set up for us!!! Y’all, I have never in my life eaten better street food. It was aaaaamazing!!!!!!!

Currently, I’m sitting in my hotel room with Sabrina, Meghann, Tina and Kath and, naturally, we are all five sitting here in our pajamas blogging……because that’s what we do. Tomorrow everyone is going running except for me (ankle!) so I’m hitting the gym again while they’re gone. Then, there’s breakfast, farmer’s market and seminars….I signed up for an olive oil tasting and a merlot tasting, naturally. 😉

I’m glad that you’re totally enjoying it and even making the best of your ankle situation. I know it’s gonna heal soon! I’m stoked that you are going to the Farmer’s Market tomorrow morning! You are going to love love love it! Even though it’s winter time there will still be plenty of produce and samples. Looks like great fun! Congrats to the winners – let us know what those bars are like!! I just found KIND bars – has anyone tried them??!!
Also – if anyone knows much about lentils/beans or nice recipes with them – check out my latest post and suggest please?! I’m trying to incorporate them more into my meals for variety…is it good to pair veggies (like broccoli) with beans…or is that fiber over-load??!

I love your coat! That is darn cute. May I ask where you got it?

That sandwich looks like a team of food gurus got together to innovate and design it. Man, what an amazing sounding combo.

I really love the idea of the food blogging sleepover. It’s like being 13 again, but instead of prank phone calls, pjs, and horror films…it’s pure bars, digital cameras, and wireless internet. Cute!

all that food looks incredible! i totally hear you with the running thing – i have a bad knee and really have to pace myself and know when to say no! i’m a pilates instructor and wondering are you doing any simple theraband exercises for that ankle? just curious cause it may help get you back to running in the long run (no pun intended!)
