Behind The Butter

a wonderful saturday

Last night, I ate a crab the size of Sebastian on steriods.

Today, I was feeling inspired so I spent all of my weekly grocery money (oops) on a deluxe set of chalk pastels, paper and a new sketch book. And then I sat at the kitchen table and spent two hours drawing Adam a beautiful picture.

Hah! This is the photo I drew. I can’t show you the actual drawing…. you’d laugh at me!

While I was deep in my artistic zone, I broke Adam’s kitchen chair. I don’t know how. He laughed, I blushed, and then I presented him with my masterpiece. And then collected my supplies and went home. He says he will frame it and keep it forever!

Tonight we have a date night involving church, the local taco truck and The King’s Speech.

Tomorrow, dave farmar comes!!!!!!

The End.

Love that : “The size of Sebastian”…okay, can somebody please send me a copy of The Little Mermaid!?

Do you draw for real though? I really want to see The King’s Speech. Firth is supposed to be amazing in it. I wonder if the movie is as good though or if it’s really the performance worth seeing? Let us know!

Eventful weekend for you. We had a big snowstorm and I haven’t left my bed.
I am banned from any form of physical exercise for the next 5 months…and you definitely inspire me to find other things to put some love into. I’ve been reading — unfortunately, I made it halfway through “Freedom” by Jonathan Franzen, and while it is a tremendous book, I don’t think I can finish it – can’t give it the attention it deserves. I need to start making better picks, since I’m pretty much on bedrest.
Do you ever have to not finish a book? That bugs me, but oh well.
That movie sounds good. I hear Colin Firth gives an amazing performance. Enjoy it with your guy.

I just finished reading Her Daughters Dream (on my kindle!) – it was SO much better than Her Mothers Hope. At first I did not really want to read it but I decided to give it a go, so glad I did! Also, The Kings Speech is FANTASTIC! I cannot wait to hear what you think!

I love that photo of the pastels… it’s inspiring me. One of my majors in college was art (since I knew I’d take a bunch of classes for personal enrichment, I picked up the major in addition to my “real major”) but I haven’t done anything in awhile. I want a deluxe set of pastels.
