Behind The Butter

doughnut pan winners

I am simply overwhelmed at how many of you want a doughnut pan!!!! I think this goes down as the most popular giveaway ever on ELR so thank you! You guys rock and I promise there will be more fun stuff to give in the not so distant future.

The winners of this giveaway are Cori (comment # 747) and Laura (comment #327). Congrats, girls!

Please email me at jenna [at] eatliverun.com to claim your prizes!

My little patient is recovering quite nicely, having woken up from surgery and eaten nine packs of graham crackers before falling promptly back asleep. Thank you all for your sweet thoughts and prayers! He’s given me strict orders of making mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy, homemade focaccia with marinara sauce, double grilled cheese sandwiches and black beans and rice….

Pray for us.

Sick/recovering men will take longer if you pamper them with food. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing….after all, who doesn’t like using food as good medicine? I’m making my husband some comfort cheesy chili tonight. You do what you gotta do.

Homemade foccacia will cure what ails you for sure. I also think risotto and cheesecake fall into that category. Speaking of cure-alls, have you tried water kefir yet? They are probiotic grains that you make into a drink similar to kombucha. It’s so good.

I hope Adam feels better! At least his appetite isn’t suffering.

Speaking of sprinkles, I made cake balls inspired by yours last night and was immediately and alternately accused of being a “goddess” and “diabetes-inducing demon”. I’ll take that as a compliment.
