Yesterday I was lucky enough to hang out in Los Angeles all day with The White on Rice Couple and learn a few tricks of the trade. I swear, just being in the same room with Todd and Diane helps make me a better photographer!
There were about twelve of us there, and it was a blast to make new friends (Bao, I’m still thinking about your amazing ice cream and Lynda, it was a pleasure sharing a cab with you!!), learn more about photography and, of course, eat great food.
These ten food photos were my absolute favorites from the hundred or so that I shot yesterday. And I’m sure you’ll realize why when you look at them (macaroons, anyone?!).
Bon Appetit!
p.s.-I did not end up in Mexico after all.
p.p.s- I remembered to leave my mace (and tennis shoes) at home.

October 17, 2013 at 10:06 pmThere are plenty of cities that could have loved having

February 10, 2011 at 12:03 pmHow fun! Like a typical ardent Californian~especially love the oranges. Love classes & ‘shadows can be your friend’ reminds me of ‘Elements of Design’ ( and color theory & perspective drawing, for that matter) in design school. Even a single great class like that pays such dividends forever. They seem awesome…read their ‘Sunset Magazine’ piece on their site.
I just did a post on lavender…..& discovered that going back to ancient Greece, Rome & Persia….lavender was a charm for love & good fortune. Good to know with Valentine’s approachin’ 😉
