Happy New Year!

Hope your New Years Eve was filled with fun and friends. We had a blast over at my friends Ali and Ryan’s house, playing board games and doing a champagne toast for each time zone. ;) This was my first NYE not on the east coast and it was so weird to watch the ball drop and then have another three hours to go!

Turns out Apples to Apples is sort of the best card game……ever.

Ryan is a chef and there was a HUGE spread of goodies:

Anne and I actually ate a light dinner of leftovers (tofu, green beans, quinoa and carrots) before we left my house but I wish we didn’t because the food at their house was SO good! I had about two crab legs and some tortilla chips.

We decided to take a picture in front of their Christmas tree for our christmas picture 2010. (just kidding hahaha)

We went out to a bar around 11:30 to watch the ball drop (again) and then came back to Ali and Ryan’s and ate Ryan’s homemade hoppin’ john for good luck! Nothing like a plate of hoppin’ john at one in the morning….I guess it’s better than eating Burger King or Taco Bell post-bar, right?!

This morning I woke up the strongest oatmeal craving:

And, currently, Anne and I are sitting on my floor discussing options of what to do today. Unfortunately the weather is pretty crappy and I definitely am fighting off a cold. However, there’s talk about doing some sort of a spontaneous road trip. We”ll see….!
Here’s to 2010!!!

love apples-to-apples! It’s such a hilarious game, and the comparisons run the gamut :-)

So, apparently like everyone else, I also LOVE apples to apples! haha.

Is Hopping John like black eyed peas and rice? Cause that’s what this southern gal had tonight, with some amazing collard greens of course. Oh man, oh man!

Happy New Year, Jenna from one Southern Gal to another!

Apples to Apples is quite possibly one of the best games ever invented!

And I have to say, as so many already have, that the blue dress is gorgeous! Please tell me where you got it from!

Ha ha ha, I totally played Apples to Apples on New Year’s Eve too. That is the best game ever! We also played Beyond Balderdash which was almost equally entertaining.
