hey ya!
Glad to hear there are some good ol’ SEC readers out there. No one out west seems to catch the drift.
This morning I snacked on some TJ’s trail mix on my way to yoga…
And then yoga…….&#^&^%@&%^
(no words)
Went to this new January series my studio is having called “TDY Bootcamp”. And bootcamp it twas. For 45 minutes we rocked out to blasting hip hop mashups and now I cannot move. Lots of jumping crow to chatarungas, plank push-ups, leap frog handstands, sun salutations and a series of 12 full wheels. Anna has been to three Baron Baptiste bootcamps and…yeah. You get the drift. She pretty much torched any enthusiasm I had at potentially attending a bootcamp in the future….going to a foreign place and getting your butt kicked every day, all day for 10 days. Yeah! Sign me up!!! we’ll see.
Then…I was so hungry! So I made a big salad.
Said monstrous salad consisted of organic greens, bell pepper, baby carrots, steamed tempeh, kabocha squash, hummus and sriracha.
Per usual, I was so excited to eat that this happened.
Sriracha on my foot. No big deal.
***
Just put on my BAMA shirt and I’m getting excited. I’ll be watching the game tonight with a group of friends while eating barbeque.
Enjoy!

Corey is SEC all the way! As long as it’s not Flordia
What pretty toes!
12 full wheels is not healthy for the back! Yes, I am a yoga teacher.
I’ll be watching, sad that it’s not the Gators, but will be rooting for Texas….
lets go BAMA!!
that bootcamp sounds tough! i’ve never thought yoga and hip hop would go well together, but now you’ve got me curious to try it out!
That bootcamp sounds like SO much fun. Sign me up!
And that salad is to DIE for. I always drop food on my feet when getting all excited about eating my meal, totally no biggie.
That sounds like some serious yoga!
That yoga sounds amazing! Wish we had it that good around here.
That bootcamp sounds BRUTAL!
Yum to that salad! Never had steamed tempeh – interesting!
My co-work flew from the east coast to go to the game. She is a huge fan. I hope they win
I hope they win
Yummy salad! Have a great night!!
That yoga sounds awesome! Have fun tonight!
Yum! Enjoy the BBQ food, that sounds so good right about now
I absolutely LOVE that hot sauce!
Holy moly…that bootcamp sounds freakin’ intense!
I’ve never tried to steam tempeh before; I always stir-fry it in a skillet or eat it uncooked. I’ll have to try that soon!
The bootcamp sounds great, just what I need!!
Holy scariness. I would not have survived that bootcamp! Seeing as you made it out alive makes you hard core! Yikes.
Did you just steam the tempeh in water on the stove?
yikes, after that i don’t think i’ll be doing a bootcamp anytime soon
looks like a delish salad, can’t wait to see what you post when ‘Bama wins
have fun watching the game!!!
Yummy salad & pretty tattoo!
LOL I definitely thought you meant a Barack Obama shirt when you said “BAMA”! Haha I am clearly a Northern girl, so I am not familiar with SEC football but just thought you would get a laugh out of that
Have a fun time, hope your team wins!
sriracha as salad dressing…. I love it!
I love big salads, mine had tuna on it with tomatoes, cucumbers, and yellow peppers with crushed red peppers.
Sriracha on the feet just means serious spicy business, that’s all! Beautiful salad. I already half-ass the Yoga to the People podcasts, boot-camp sounds like something that’s in the far distant future for me. Maybe next lifetime distant future. Glad you made it out alive!
That’s a hard-core workout. I love big salads, too. I just made one for dinner. Mine usually include any and all veggies in my fridge. They can get pretty wild, but so delicious.
my cousin’s(who lives in alabama) fb status is “roll tide!” so i’m assuming she’s excited about the same thing you are
Wow, none of the yoga studios around here offer classes like that. Wish they would, I’d love to try some fusion type yoga classes. I did go to a regular “Bootcamp” class today.
Yummy Salad!! Hope you didn’t eat your foot, though
. I MUST get into better eating habits! I’m inspired now, thanks! Happy 2010!!!!
hiphop mashup yoga . . . hmmmmmmm interesting!
when you talk about yoga , its like you are speaking in a foreign language. I am so unmotivated to even try to do more than a silly 20 minutes maybe 3x a week. have fun watching the game. Oh well, I shouldnt feel like i have to do anything anyway.! You rock anyway! You and KERF are very busy people! Very unique lifestyles…everyone has a neat “job”…wish i could work a different job every day and try it all out
Have fun watching the game!
I’m a Gator fan, but since ‘Bama crushed us I’ll be cheering for them to win it all! Gotta love the SEC!
It has been my dream for years to go to one of those bootcamps!!!
Your salad looks soo good!! Bootcamp sounds like it was just evil — although I’m sure the results are worth the pain in the end.
haha I totally thought you meant President Obama too when you said bama. I should probably branch out of good old Nebraska :/
Ahh love your Rainbows! Can’t wait to GO to college football games!! Have fun!
I don’t think I could handle yoga bootcamp but I’m looking forward to doing a regular yoga practice and a basic bootcamp.
And as long as you didn’t lick the siracha off your foot it’s okay
Yikes…I’m more of a slow, shvasana corpse pose breath type maybe?? haha so yah bootcamp – would probably really irritate me
Have fun @ the BBQ and the game. Love excitement – can’t wait for Superbowl parties!
Hope you enjoy watching the game — sorry I have to root for Texas, hubby is a big fan and I’d like to maintain a peaceful household, ha ha ha.
I’m SEC all the way…unless UT is involved. Sorry Jenna! Hook ‘em!
Watching the championship was the only thing on my dad’s agenda when he got home tonight!
haha have fun watching
Awesome job surviving that crazy yoga! Not sure I could. LOL at the hot sauce on our foot, looks familiar
Sorry, you felt disappointed re the SEC. I’ve been to the south many times. Some gorgeous places. Hope ‘Bama nails it!!
I DID get TJ’s Indian frozen foods you mentioned, really good! They had a new product today, ‘Trader Joe’San Rice Snaks [Yaki Onigiri] really good. Frozen food section, heart shaped rice snacks with soy sauce, hmmm.
I’ll be relocating to France about the time your book comes out…can’t wait to read it. Hopefully on the way over. France was just selected [for the 5th year in the row] as the #1 country in the world out of 194 for the best quality of life on the planet. Yeah! http://tinyurl.com/oe4ezq Love TJs trail-mix, too! The one w/lots of cranberries & cashews.
Am really sorry you didn’t get to the Rose Bowl, but hope enjoy game on TV, and that ‘Bama wins! I did post/Twitter but the tickets were like $275-400 so can see why people didn’t step-up!’ Oh well….missed the horrendous traffic!! Another day.
I’ve been thinking about getting a pair of Rainbows but of course now they’re out of season. Still looking though…
Bootcamp sounds awesome!!
Totally jealous of the flip-flops…it is snowing and 20 degrees in Tennessee!!
Beautiful salad!
Welp, your review of the bootcamp class has prompted me to check it off my list of classes to try at tdy! Hope you’re not too sore
That salad looks sooo good! I need to remember to get some sriracha sauce the next time I’m at the grocery – I love spicy foods
UGH, I’LL COME VISIT SOON!!!! RAINCHECK RAINCHECK RAINCHECK! ROLL TIDE WOOOOHOO
p.s. Went to Pizza Orgasmica tonight….you NEED to get there.
Just finished watching the game…ROLL TIDE ROLL!
Just finished watching the game…ROLL TIDE ROLL!
GO BAMA! Watchu hooken’ now Texas? hehe! JK Great game!
Congrats on the Bama win!
The game was on at the Burbank (Los angeles area) airport! I didn’t see all of it but looked exciting!
The salad looks fab!
bootcamp yoga sounds awesmoe!! prettyfeetsies
roll tide!! it was snowing here in Birmingham, AL while all the tide fans were basking in 70 degree weather in pasadena!
HAHAH! Sriracha on your foot. That is SO something that happens to me when I get excited about my meals!
Glad yoga was good and GOOD LUCK TO ALABAMA!
Haha the pic of your foot is too funny.
Glad you had a great yoga workout.
That salad looks delicious!
Gahaha! Love the hot sauced foot
That’s one thing I miss about being home from school, monster salads doused in hot sauce!
Congratulations to Bama!!!
That TJ’s trail mix is dane-ger-ous! I guess it’s called “Tempting Trail Mix” for a reason. Alls I know is that I opened the bag and 15 minutes later half of it was gone… Don’t snack and blog!
