Happy Thursday, everyone! I’m Lauren from Lauren’s Latest and today I am thrilled to be a guest here on EatLiveRun!
I was first introduced to Jenna and all her fabulous recipes on Tasty Kitchen. I think Jenna and I speak the same food language because all of her recipes are the kinds of foods I make for my family and seem just so appetizing no matter what time of day it is. Then through twitter we became friends and now here I am guest posting on her blog with a recipe that very well could be life changing: No-Bake Nutter Butter Nutella Pie.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Nutter Butter cookies AND Nutella all whipped up into a fabulous dessert that takes minutes to make.Β When I went grocery shopping and came home with a jar of nutella and a pack of nutter butters, I really had no intentions of using them together….but then this brilliant idea popped into my head and I just HAD to make it.Β Have I gone off the deep end?! Perhaps, but at least you all get to reap the benefits! You’re welcome in advance.
Above I mentioned that this takes minutes to make and it honestly does. All you do is grind your nutter butter cookies, mix them with a little melted butter and press into your pie pan. Then you whip the filling ingredients together for a few minutes and pour it into the crust. Refrigerate it for a few hours and voila! Dessert! You can make a nutella ganache if you like, but I thought the plain version was just as good. So, make sure to stop at the store for some nutella and nutter butters! You are not going to want to miss out on this!
No-Bake Nutter Butter Nutella Pie
8-10 servings
Ingredients:
for the crust-
24 nutter butter cookies
1/4 cup butter
for the filling-
2-8 oz. packages cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nutella
1/2 cup whipping cream
for nutella ganache {optional}- <—-Jenna says: you’d be crazy not to make this ganache!
1/4 cup nutella
1/4 cup cream {or more if you like a thinner ganache}
Directions:
Spray 9-inch pie plate with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
{1}Place nutter butter cookies into food processor and grind until they are fine crumbs. Stir together with melted butter.
{2}Press into prepared pie plate. Place into refrigerator to chill.
{3}For the filling, whip cream cheese and sugar together until well blended. Stir in vanilla and nutella. Scrape sides of bowl and mix again briefly. Stir in cream and then increase speed and whip 3 minutes or until very thick.
{4}Pour into pie crust and smooth the top. Refrigerate until set, at least 2 hours.
To serve, prepare nutella ganache by microwaving nutella and cream together until a thin sauce forms. Drizzle over pieces of pie.

Mainly because now I can make things like this π
And also a spoonful at 3pm with your afternoon coffee is a pick-me-up like no other. If only Mary Poppins knew about Nutella…

April 7, 2011 at 5:50 amI’ve learned the consequences of having Nutella in the pantry. I parted ways with it after jar #2, 3 years ago. It was a life lesson.

April 7, 2011 at 5:59 amWow, this looks amazing. Definitely one to make for an event that way you don’t have to eat it all yourself. Bad things happen when desserts like this are lying around the house unattended.

April 7, 2011 at 6:03 amLove the photography. This dessert should be in bakery somewhere behind a fancy glass case that is ridiculously expensive – and that I would pay for of course π
It’s a good thing I have neither Nutella nor Nutter Butter cookies here…are they mostly a U.S thing? The cookies? Haven’t really heard of them here…

April 1, 2012 at 7:14 pmI made this for a BBQ today and everyone loved it. The ganache really makes it! It’s quite rich and delicious–and a bit tangy from the cream cheese. I thought 24 cookies might be too much for the crust, so I stopped at 18 nutterbutters, definitely use 24. The crust was a little shorter than I wanted with only 18 cookies, but still a nice treat. Thanks for the recipe!
