Peachy Green
Jul 16th, 2009 by jenna
Good morning! AHhh I know I’m beating this into the ground, but in 48 hours I will on my plane!!!!!!
In other news, the big winner of the Avocate skin line (including Intensive Eye Repair, Lotion, Skin Glow and Body Polish) is…………………………
(drum roll please)
Comment number 743—Megan!!!! Congratulations Megan! Megan wrote: “I would love to try Avocate. I have tried everything under the book for my skin including prescriptions, every infomercial product, and home mixes. Nothing works! I have an extremely fair complexion and acne, so the red spots are all the more obvious. I have developed sensitive skin, so at this point I’m helpless. I can barely put anything on my face without it becoming overly dry while also being broken out. I’m and adult…shouldn’t my skin stop being zitty by now?!”
Megan please email me your mailing address!

This morning I had a peachy green monster!

i think you just inspired me to have a sliced peach and almond butter sandwich for lunch. congrats to megan on winning!
I didn’t even think about peaches in a green monster – YUM! I’ll have to try that after I try them with kiwi!
Congrats to Megan! And good luck Jenna, enjoy your trip
Love the GM!
Awww man
Haha. Just kidding. Your GM looks delish! Mine always come out looking so choppy…I bet you are getting so excited! I’ll be crossing my fingers over here for you
Enjoy your day of packing and yoga!
Jenna I am so excited for you. I hope that you have the time of your life getting ready for it. Enjoy this time, remember how far you’ve come even in the last couple of months. WOO HOO!
Have a great time on your trip and Good Luck! How exciting!! I started my own blog today and just published my very first post!! I couldn’t be more excited! I have been reading your blog for about a year now and can’t get enough. If you have a chance I would like it if you checked out my blog- annaseats.com. Have a great day
I’m definitely using a peach in my green monster tomorrow! Well, a nectarine, actually – I have three that will be overripe in the next day or two and I can’t stand to waste fresh fruit!!
Enjoy your day
That green monster looks so delicious!
Good luck with the packing!
Good for Megan! I hope she gives you an update on how well these products worked for her!
Peaches in a GM huh? That actually sounds really good. I just bought some fresh peaches at the farmers market the other day that are some of the best I’ve ever had….
So exciting!
Good luck packing, and have fun at yoga!
Jenna,
i was wondering if green monsters would taste good without the banana, so i was excited to see you didn’t add one today. i am thinking of trying one with frozen raspberries and spinach… but i didn’t know if it would taste sweet enough. anyone have thoughts on this or other banana free ones they have tried and liked!?
thanks!
Before reading blogs, I never would’ve thought you could put almond butter together with any other fruit than bananas and apples. Just one more reason why I love blogs — trying new combos!
that smoothie sounds great! I have got to get some more almond butter as soon as I’m back from my trip.
Have fun getting all your stuff done today!
SO EXCITED FOR YOU! have fun packing!
Love the smoothie idea, I still need to try frozen c antelopes in mine. Have a great day!
Love all the smoothie combos! I like the idea of peaches to sweeten up the green monsters.
I really need to try the green smoothies. I know I’m really behind! You will have the most amazing time in CA!
Oh I love how thick that looks – amazing. And that’s an awesome idea – Polly’s peaches made me drool! I can only imagine how good they’d be in a GM!
Good luck this weekend!!
Upon reading your last post (and others) about your yoga practice, a question came to mind: have you ever considered becoming a yoga instructor? You seem to love it SO much, and I think I’ve read that you’ve taken classes for around 6 years or so. Plus, in the pictures of yoga poses you’ve put on the blog before, you have such nice form. I would totally take a class from your thoughtful, positive self! Just curious if you have thought about teaching yoga or just want to focus on enjoying the classes from a personal standpoint
YAY for peaches! I’m picking some up today.
Yay for a day to relax! Enjoy it before your crazy trip!!!
enjoy your last day before the trip!
Good luck packing! It can be time consuming, but I actually find it kind of enjoyable!
Have fun with your yoga today and remember to make a nice, comforting dinner. I always have my favorite before I go on a trip since I know I probobly won’t be cooking much!
Congrats to Megan!
Oooh, I’ve yet to incorporate peaches into the GM- sounds perfect for summer. Good luck with your trip prep!
How does the peach change the texture of the smoothie (if at all)? Good luck with the to-do list – clean laundry always makes me feel accomplished
Yum to that green monster! I love peaches! I just had a juicy white peach w/Oikos & flaxseed! YUM!
How do you drink your green monsters at room temp?! Whenever I omit the frozen ingredients, I have to pop mine in the freezer for a few minutes before I can even let it get near me!
Darcie,
I always add a ton of ice! Sorry if I leave that part out!
Julia,
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to get yoga teacher certified but unfortunately its really expensive and I’m in the process of paying off my loan from culinary school….maybe if I get this job out in California I will be able to put some money away to do it! I would love it
Oooh what a great idea! I love Polly’s peaches
I hope you have a great, calming yoga session!
Question: Skin on peach or off before blending? I like the skin, just want to know if it’s good in the shake?
Just wanted to let you know that the people at Avocate are selling the package for 30% off the regular price of $ 95.00 AND they’re paying for shipping! Ordered me some to try yesterday!
Ooooh, I see a peachy green monster in my future for Saturday morning! Yay!
Make sure you take time to relax and think positive about your upcoming trip. Above all, enjoy it. Life is supposed to be fun, not all work! Your smoothie looks yum!
I am sure you might say buy both but I was wondering which zin you would recommend: Liar’s dice or Snake eyes.
You must be soooo excited!!! Will you be posting while you are there or will you be too busy, do you think? I can’t wait to see the “video diary!”
good luck packing! i always overpack. that peachy green monster looks mighty fine.
Hai just found your blog! Love it!
Fran
The GM sounds tasty!
Your green smoothies always look creamier than mine! What gives?!! Maybe it’s the soymilk…
