Pizza, Cookies and Milk

We are only hours away from a long weekend—anyone excited?! I know I am. I’m very excited to get out of Tampa this weekend and have a change of scenery. And I just love weddings!

This afternoon I snacked on one of Angela’s granola bars before heading to the gym.

Once at the gym I had a nice easy 2 mile run on the treadmill and long steam. I’ve just been so tired today….no more staying up till midnight hanging light fixtures!

I stopped by my parent’s house after the gym and had a glass of red wine and a few blue corn tortilla chips with my mom and dad. Forgot my camera!!!

Since it was STILL raining (can you believe it?!) and Ryan was working late I decided an Amy’s pizza was the best option. I’ve been staring at this pizza for days in my freezer and it definitely did not disappoint!

These personal sized pizzas are delicious but tiny, huh?! I love Amy’s crust though—really nice and chewy!

Now dessert was rather interesting……

Cookies & milk!

Maybe its all in my head or maybe I’m just tired, but I swear I have a case of the sniffles today and feel a little under the weather. Well that just won’t go so I’m taking all the preventative measures I know to knock whatever is in me out tonight while I sleep! This was a cup of almond milk with chocolate SuperFood and I discovered it tastes much better if you have a bite of cookie, then a sip of grass and so on.

I just finished packing and now I am watching one of the best movies EVER created

Oh my, I just love Iron Will. I have three favorite movies of all time—Legends of the Fall, Little Women and Iron Will. If you haven’t seen this I suggest watching it asap, as in tonight. I tear up every time!

My flight leaves tomorrow morning at 8 am so I won’t be blogging first. However, you can expect a full recap later in the afternoon. We get into Milwaukee around noon and then are headed straight to my grandparent’s house so Ryan can meet them and we can visit for awhile before driving up to Madison.

Awwwww my first blog post EVER on Dec 9, 2007 was when I was traveling up to Milwaukee to visit my grandparents. Does this sound familiar:

“This morning I was supposed to run 9.5 miles for my half-marathon training but stopped after 6 because of my shin splints. I think I’m going to have to take a week off of running because they were throbbing today…the race is def. not worth getting injured! I need to be more careful.”

Wow, have I been blogging forever or WHAT?!

Wow that pizza looks delicious for being frozen! I haven’t tried Amy’s pizzas before (because I’m such a sucker for the greasy-bad-for-you stuff you order!) but I’m thinking it’s time I try…Enjoy your movie!!

Mmm I’ve been so curious about the Amy’s pizzas! Since they’re small, I’d probably have to add a salad or something on the side to fill me up, but who doesn’t love some pizza?

I wish my gym had a steam room. I ran 2 miles today but didn’t have a nice steam afterwards!

I really need to look into getting some Amy’s pizzas. They look really good.

Have fun in Madison! I went to school there and love it. The Memorial Union terrace is a great place to sit and enjoy the lake. And Paul’s Club on State Street is a fun place for a drink – there’s a big (fake) tree inside. If you have time for a nice dinner, Harvest and L’Etoile are both great.

It is so funny that you are watching that movie. I have been trying to remember the name of that movie for ages! haha! I remember just LOVING it as a kid. I’ll have to watch it again soon. I hope you have a great time up in my neck of the woods this weekend! I live about an hour north of Madison and would have loved to have gotten together for your run on Sunday, but I too have a wedding, but it is just south of Milwaukee. I hope you have safe travels – it looks like it is going to be a beautiful weekend here!

Hi Jenna – I just found your blog a few days ago after doing a search for Vita-Mix – I got one about a month ago and am in love! I’ve really enjoyed your blog as well; I’ve been reading backwards and love all your pictures and meal ideas. Our Costco membership is expiring next month and it’s a good 20 miles from our house so I’ve hardly used it at all, but you have me inspired to make a trip tomorrow! Had to show my husband the dvd you were watching, I can’t tell you how many times he’s watched that movie! We live in MN & he’s always joked that someday he’s going to have a whole team of dogs (never mind that we live in a development)! Good movie, though! I just had that pizza last night. Split the big size with my mom, and it was so delish!! I think I may have liked it even more than the roasted veggies one!

OMG, I have tried watching that movie and it made me so sad I had to turn it off. I kept telling myself that it must have a happy ending after all the sadness but I just couldn’t make it.
