Preparing For Shenanigans
Dec 29th, 2009 by jenna
Hey guys!
I took a little break last night and got some book writing done. I’m not going to get any work done for the rest of the week so I tried to be a wee bit productive when I had the chance
Yesterday evening I had the most delicious cocktail with my parents!

Gosh…I don’t even know the last time I had an actual cocktail. This was fun. It was a mix of tequila, muddled cranberries, lemon and agave. Dangerous!!
And then, we met Hardy for tacos at my favorite little hole in the wall. I ordered a chicken enchilada with no sour cream and a side of guacamole. I can never finish my meal when I order the regular sized enchilada entree, so just ordering a small plate of one enchilada was perfect for me. Pardon the rather crappy photo…I was having some technical difficulties.

I’m getting some work done here before I pick my mom up to do some yoga. Then, it’s back off to the city to drop them off, pick up Anne (check out her post this morning! hahaha) and meet BethT at Tartine!
Shenanigans to come!

I love enchiladas with guac – they’re soooo good!
I’m so craving Mexican food now!
yum – now I’m hungry for enchiladas. I think I’ll try your recipe tonight! Hooray for Tartine, enjoy!
Yum! Love the cocktail!
have fun with Anne!
The cocktail reminds me of a shirley temple, looks yummy and fun!
Ooh, cocktails and Mexican food. Very jealous, girl! Little hole in the wall restaurant discoveries are the besssst!
Awww you guys are going to have so much fun. Can’t wait to see what you get in to!
I’ve… never had an enchilada. Actually, I’ve always disliked Mexican food, but myabe I’ll give it another try someday! Have fun at Tartine! And eat well
i love tequila so much. my mom got this kinda made with agave. the best stuff I’ve ever had.
please, please drink some more for me

Holy moly – even with the “crappy picture” that plate of Mexican looks delicious! I absolutely adore hole-in-the-wall places, they really are the ones that serve the BEST food.
Have fun Yoga-ing with your mom!! I’m jealous!
The picture of the cocktail is absolutely stunning. Great work!

Looks like a delicious cocktail. Have fun with the girls!! You’re lucky to get so many visitors in a row– it’s hard to get bored or lonely if you have people coming in and out like that!
I think an eclair eating contest is in order.
Ah, you and Anne + BethT have a fabulous time!
Your “crappy” pictures look better than my good ones any day!
So excited to read about y’alls shenanigans; looks like y’all will have a ton of fun (esp. after reading Anne’s post
Great picture of the cocktail! Yum, it looks delicious
that cocktail looks super refreshing for your neck of the woods, but my kind of cocktail right now is a HOT ONE!
Oooh now I’m craving Mexican for lunch!

Glad the book is coming along!
Have fun with your friends and seeing your parents off!
It’s so cool you and your mother can do yoga together. What a super way to bond!

Hope you and your mom have a great yoga session!
Mexican food is always a great thing!
Oh Jenna! I always love your bowls of oatmeal! Where do you buy your bowls at??
Maggie

those are latte bowls from anthropologie!
Anne’s post is hilarious! I’m sure you two will have a great time!
LOVE hole in the wall Mexican places – always the best kind:)
Yum!! Love enchiladas! And tamales, too!
What kind of Yoga are you doing?
I like your food philosophy Jenna – why not enjoy everything life has to offer versus extremes (like alot of Blogs I’ve seen…)?!
mm love me some mexican food!! sounds like you have a fun day ahead of you!
I love hole in the walls.
Also, agave in cocktails! That’s both awesome and dangerous!
Have fun with Anne, looking forward to reading about the Shenanigans. That’s right, Shenanigans with a capital “S.”
have fun at tartine!
That drink looks so good. The color is amazing! Hope you have fun with your friends!
three cheers for tasty cocktails and mexican food! my favorite.
I was wondering about the bowl too
Thanks!
That looks like one tasty cocktail, girlie-o.
Have fun with your friends!
This post made me realize one of the beauties of blogs–ironically, in the speeded-up world of technology–is freeze-framing moments for more to enjoy…and when think about..your moments point to ours that are like them that we savor all over again. Pretty cool Neat post!
Forget the fog. Watch out San Francisco, The Girls are rolling IN!
Looks great!
Seriously Jenna you have the cutest clothes where do you shop? I know you are on a budget like me and I just adore all of your outfits so anthro!
Do you ever get sick of oatmeal? I’m gluten intolerant and find that oatmeal can get so old. any ideas for changing it up a bit? See you use a lot of almond butter. I’m going to give that a shot tomorrow morning.
Hole in the wall places are best for mexican food. They just get it right.
That cocktail looks amaaazing! Quick question, what exactly are “muddled” cranberries? I’m super tempted to try and create that cocktail for myself.
I had a similar drink recently in Denver, loved it! I must recreate it at home.
I need to try some overnight oats!
Oh that Shenanigan looks awesome…..
Yay for fun drinks! That’s what I’m looking forward to most for new years!!
