Behind The Butter

The New ELR (Don’t Leave Me, Please)

Like some of you have picked up on, ELR is changing. You change a bunch when you’re in your mid-twenties and I’m certainly not the same girl I was three years ago when I started this. Because of that, the blog isn’t the same either. I recognize the fact that I consume more bacon now than I did two years ago. And I’ve moved on. Don’t leave meeeeeeeeee

IMG_1534

In the days to come, I still will be blogging every day but instead of just journaling my daily food intake (and boring you with my daily turkey sandwiches), I’ll be sharing more of my recipes and random food musings with y’all. I’m going to be focusing more on the celebration of food and life and just go wherever that takes me.

What you WON’T find anymore on this site are:

company sponsored product reviews (everything I show on the blog will be bought with my OWN moolah)

company advertising (I work with Foodbuzz and that’s it!)

what exercises I did at the gym

“here’s what I ate today”

my sanity

What you WILL find more on this site are:

more step by step recipes (!!)

more food photography

more traveling tales

more random musings

more social awkwardness

I’m also going to be doing a complete site redesign, and the new ELR 2.0 should be up and running within a few months. It’s way more of a project than I ever imagined and something I work on behind the scenes every.single.day. Let’s just say technology is NOT my friend.

Okay on that note I’m going to change out of my bathrobe and eat a piece of melon. We’re going out to a late dinner with a bunch of friends visiting from Texas tonight. I’ll be back!

My favorite thing about your blog is your obvious and unapologetic love of food. I love that it is punctuated with beautiful photographs and your often hilarious anecdotes. If I am to be honest, I have always loved your blog, but have found it even more interesting since you started posting more recipes. My ‘recipes to try’ bookmarks folder may be overflowing, but I’m incredibly excited to try them all and continue to share in your love of food.

No need to explain your direction. Just take it where it takes you. You are lucky to not be confined. I feel restricted in what I write I admit because some people just react to things completely wrong. Harmless thoughts and musings are looked at completely the wrong way. It is too bad because it ultimately means I have to either write little or nothing. It seems to be coming to that anyway. I wish everyone could try to be comfortable with their own minds/lives and stop the paranoia/need for drama that is just a creation of their own minds.

A comment from a long-time reader, first-time commenter: I love it. For some people, celebrating the choices they make each minute, each day is right; for others, celebrating specific moments or meals or things is right. What it comes down to is that the world always needs more people who celebrate, no matter what it is they celebrate, and who celebrate what makes them feel alive. I applaud your choice to celebrate what makes you feel alive when you do so 🙂

I can totally relate to the evolution that happens as you move from 20-something toward 30-something. I’ve been reading your blog for quite a while now and this may be my first comment. 🙂

I am 26 and totally understand the transformation you are talking about. I read several food blogs and can find myself getting frustrated that I don’t see the same results as those I read and yet I live a very active, healthy lifestyle and eat an almost vegan, whole foods diet [with some wine and baking mixed in for good measure]. I’ve gotten quite tired of living like this and have found myself slowly embracing the fact that while I need to be better at eating maybe 2 cookies instead of 4, I don’t need to compare myself to others and simply learn to better enjoy life and all it has to offer…even if butter and less days at the gym may be involved.

Thanks for your honesty and openness to embrace these similar changes in your life. It’s nice to have the company.

I’m excited to see where this new direction takes you and your writing. I’m curious- why won’t you do product reviews anymore? Does that mean you can’t accept free spa vacations at fancy hotels anymore too? 😉

    • jenna
      August 12, 2010 at 6:47 pm

Hahahaha When I say “no product reviews” I mean I won’t be letting random companies send me their loot in hopes I’ll stick it on the blog and they will gain exposure. I’m currently under contract with Tazo Tea (writing recipes for them for two more weeks), but after that I won’t have any more company endorsement at all. Everything you see will be 150% Eat Live Run.

I don’t know if everyone knows this, but food bloggers get a TON of free food sent to them in the mail. It’s pretty ridiculous actually. Companies basically just send us their products in hopes that we will stick it on the blog and be like “oohh I love it!!!” and then everyone will go out and buy it. So many blogs are doing this now (featuring a new kind of chip or all natural soda) that it has sort of taken away from the authenticity of the blog (in my opinion). I want to keep this blog’s integrity 100% by ONLY displaying products and foods that I personally buy with my own money. No more company sponsored giveaways, either. I’d rather give away my own baked goods or a product that I love and bought for you all than have a company give away something just to gain exposure.

I just want you all, my readers, to know how much I value you and I would never sell myself or this blog out for a free product.

      • katie
        August 12, 2010 at 6:55 pm

Thanks for the info. I like it, more authentic this way. I’m sure I’m not the only reader who looks to blogs for new food suggestions (I’ve made quite a few of your recipes) so I appreciate how “real” the site will be.

        • Marla
          August 12, 2010 at 7:17 pm

I am SOOOOO happy to see a well known blogger say
no to company sponsored reviews(good or bad) of their product.I find this commercialism so invasive and annoying to be honest. So kudos to you for taking that stand-I truly hope some of my other fave bloggers will also move in this direction.

I do really enjoy your daily eats…I wonder could you have a side part of your blog be that?(even if it was just photos of your meals from the day with titles of what it was?I love your little lunches, brekky etc and often steal your little simple ideas(without needing a full recipe).Hope you may reconsider this?

Best wishes on your “new” version.Change is always exciting !

And have to say another huge thank you for ditching
sponsored products etc!(For me I find the sponsored “conventions” also very invasive and sneaky that companies send bloggers to!)

PS your blog is one of my faves!

          August 12, 2010 at 7:18 pm

          I really like this.

I was finding lately or questioning how “authentic” it was really…not that there’s anything wrong with that!!

…but this is truly your own – and your success

+ I just want your recipes 🙂 I hate blogs that post everything they ate that day…or exercised…

      • Taysa
        August 12, 2010 at 8:00 pm

I also wanted to say that I really dig this change. I have been reading less and less of food blogs lately because some just seem like advertisement after advertisement–if that’s what I wanted, I would go read a magazine or watch TV. Good on you!

        • Marla
          August 12, 2010 at 8:35 pm

          PS
Are you still continuing with Open Sky?
(I have to be honest and say these are one of the
advertising features on current blogs that drive me crazy….”look what I used today and you too can find it here on my open sky shop” …
So many bloggers have Open Sky-it’s just another commerical placement in my book.(kinda like how a movie star will hold a pepsi during a scene…)

What are your thoughts about it? Thanks!

          (sorry to vent ! 😉

        • Still Life in Southeast Asia
          August 13, 2010 at 11:37 am

        • jenna
          August 14, 2010 at 7:50 am

I will not be continuing with OpenSky…I ended my partnership with them yesterday. I wish them the best though!

    • RhodeyGirl
      August 12, 2010 at 9:25 pm

If it’s ok, I would also like to add my own two cents.

Jenna, I really respect your decision to move ELR into ELR 2.0, and I can’t wait to see where all of these changes take you!

I would also like to say that I do not have a no product review policy, but I am very selective about which products I accept into my home and onto my site. I say no to about 90% of the inquiries I receive, and while I only have a medium sized blog, I feel like it is my duty to be honest and real at all times. Yes, I have received free products and foods before, but from companies I am curious about and would have tried otherwise. I only share a review if it is something I really love OR really hate, and don’t bother reviewing anything in between. I think that works for me and maintains the integrity of my blog. I also find that it is amazing to be able to give the opportunity to smaller companies (like Foodzie- remember them from Foodbuzz?) to showcase their products. I absolutely ADORE Foodzie and if they ever wanted me to try something that fits in with my lifestyle I would go for it in a second.

Anyway, just my thoughts to the discussion. I think it is a really interesting one and a difficult one to navigate sometimes.

Can’t wait to see the blog redesign and more of your recipes and tales. 🙂

      • eatmovelove
        August 13, 2010 at 4:50 am

        Agreed.
I don’t think it’s fair to call all out blogs on it…I mean it’s free food in many cases and free food in give-aways…;)…but I’ll only post honest opinion – and often most of my “reviews” aren’t even sent from the company or there is no give-away…

        • JenniferfromLaJolla
          August 13, 2010 at 9:42 am

I wasn’t under the impression Jenna was calling anyone out–she is doing what works best for her. I applaud your decision Jenna (not that you need me, or anyone else to). I stopped following/reading a bunch of blogs because it became very clear the authors were pimping themselves out. And that is fine too, I just am not interested in reading about it.

Wow! I’m so excited to hear about your blog’s new focus. I’ve been following a few healthy living blogs for a couple months now, and I always ask myself, ‘Do people actually live and eat like this?’ I work full time, and I don’t have time to go on 10 mile runs on a weekday or make steel cut oatmeal on the stovetop every morning. But in my free time, I love to look at food photography and find new recipes on the web, so I’m glad you’ll be focusing more on that. So glad you are promoting a balanced lifestyle on your blog! I love bacon, too!

I’m a long time reader but I NEVER comment. I have noticed a change and to be honest with you, I love your blog more now than ever. It’s refreshing to read a blog where you actually enjoy your food and live you life how you want to rather than another review of what the latest product or fad is in the blog-o-sphere. Your blog is so much easier to relate to now. I love to eat healthy and exercise but let’s face it, somedays I want to come home from work and cook my mom’s mac and cheese and spend time with the boyfriend. It takes a lot of courage to break free of the mold but I’m happy that you are!

I’ve been reading for years and actually prefer the direction you’re headed– reminds me of my own eating style/approach to food. Good for you for being brave enough to risk losing a few “health foodies”… pretty sure I’m going to come back for zucchini pizza and italian buttercream before I seek out the dime-a-dozen http://www.oatmealandkale24/7.com-esque blogs.

HI Jenna! I’m coming out of the woodwork to comment on this post 🙂
I just love your blog and the parts I love best are the parts you are keeping! I honestly skim over exercise posts and products reviews 99% of the time…so I just love the direction you are taking your blog into!
Yours was one of the first blogs I found in my weight loss journey- and I have been reading for over 2 years now! I look forward to reading more and more from you!
    You go girl!

I love it! Actually in the past few months i have gotten away from reading the “bigger” blogs because it seemed like all they were were product placements and advertisements for people to buy things from them in their “shops”. I’m finding that the blogs i love and look forward to reading are those that rarely or never have company-sponsored product reviews and are more “real”. I have always loved reading your posts and look forward to reading more and more.

I started reading a bunch of different healthy eating blogs two years ago, but a lot of them were too wordy and didn’t keep my interest. Your blog was always different. I think ELR is successful because…
    – You’re an awesome writer
    AND
    – You’re honest and genuine
Keep writing and we’ll keep reading! 🙂

    Yay Jenna!!

I’m so proud of you. One of my friends and I were just discussing how “spammy” most of these food blogs have gotten over the past year or two. It’s kind of gross. While sometimes I find your posts a little kooky, I give you all the credit in the world for taking the time to post each and every day. Power on!

Love the “I’m going to be focusing more on the celebration of food and life”!

What a perfect way to describe it! That is exactly how I look at my own blog. I love all food and I am not ashamed to display my affection for Shake Shack!

Definitely looking forward to the ‘new’ ELR! 🙂

Love it!! I love that you’re allowing your blog to change with you. That’s a part of life and self-discovery. And personally, I’d rather read about the things you’re passionate about than a bunch of cookie-cutter posts you feel like you have to post…simply because that’s what you’ve always done. Ultimately, it’s your voice and personality that keep people coming back to this blog! Looking forward to ELR 2.0 🙂

  • Nancy
    August 12, 2010 at 7:39 pm

I’m glad you’re moving away from sponsored reviews. There’s a lot of big food blogs that have turned into one big product placement, I.E. “This morning, I drank delicious flavoured iced coffee, available at my shop for the low price of x dollars! Remember, it’s on sale for the next week!!!”. When I start to feel that bloggers are just hawking products, I get really turned off.
I adore your unapologetic love of food, you have a great balance. It get tiring reading of how naughty people feel because they had a bit of sugar. Good food is meant to be enjoyed and you totally understand that. 🙂

Don’t you think it would be interesting to show us how you can celebrate food + pleasure and still stay fit (by showing us your daily eats?) It seems like there are healthy food bloggers OR serious passionate foodie over-the-top-with-butter bloggers. I think somewhere in the middle is just right, and I think it would be awesome if you didn’t just abandon one for the other in the blog — mostly because I think you strive for that balance in your life. Did that make any sense?

    • Christie {Honoring Health}
      August 13, 2010 at 4:08 am

Jenna is not abandoning anything, she is growing, learning and becoming the person she is. There are a bazillion “here is what I ate today” blogs out there, I am proud of her for breaking that mold and doing what she loves.

That is what life is about!

I think you do an incredible job of being yourself via your blog, which is much easier said than done.

Hi Jenna, I’m a first time commenter as well!

All your changes sound good, BUT I have to say that reading about your daily eats has been one of the best things about your blog. I love the fact that you’re such a balanced eater and don’t sweat about bacon and butter. It has been a great example and I’ve actually tried to follow your lead! So please, continue with at least some of your “what I ate today” -posts. I’m sure that I’m not alone with this. (oh gosh, how this sounds so serious!) Keep doing what you’re doing ‘n I’ll keep reading 🙂

  • Hannah
    August 12, 2010 at 10:40 pm

I know this won’t mean much when you already have a bazillion readers out here in the world, but I just wanted to say how much I’m overjoyed by your blog transition and your new/current way of approaching life and blogging. I actually used to read your blog religiously a year or so ago, but made myself stop because I was realising that the myriad “healthy living blogs” that simple listed what people ate everyday and how much they exercised weren’t doing my well-being any favours. (And this is NOT a criticism of you, at all! Simply a choice I had to make for my own sanity.)

A few weeks ago I started checking in here again, and I was pleasantly surprised at the slightly different, happiers, broader tone of your blog. You seem so joyful and at peace with where you are and who you are right now, and that’s something I want to support and hear about 🙂

My own blog is a mix of recipes/travel/idiotic things I’ve done/adventures/restaurant meals/snack/thoughts, and I so love finding people with a similar “rounded” approach to life. I hop none of this sounds hoity-toity or self-serving… really what I want to say is I love how happy you are in your life and I can’t wait to join in again as someone rooting for you from the sidelines 🙂

So I’m a long-term reader…. and dude, your blog is so much more fun to read than some others out there that do the typical, photograph-every-chip-i-eat, thing. Your writing voice is hilarious and genuine, and although it has changed, as people have said, it’s for the better x 10000.
In conclusion- I’m not going anywhere 🙂

haha so true glad she doesnt say “i only ate half of this muffin”…its like who cares how much you ate of it eeeekkk not healthy for girls to read who think they need to restrict their food. Keep up being a good role model for young girls Jenna!

      • Jennie {in Wonderland}
        August 13, 2010 at 6:48 pm

I couldn’t agree more. I have read a few bloggers who insist on prefacing everything with, “I only had a splash of this wine” or “I couldn’t get through this plate but it was delish” and I’m like, are you trying to tell us it’s bad to finish your food? I just feel like sometimes it’s very much, “I would NEVER eat this much food, and I feel you should know that.”

Jenna, your blog is so honest, funny, from-the-heart… it’s just gorgeous and I love the changes. I think you’ve started to become so much more ‘you’ [not that I know YOU, lol] over the past few months and it’s fantastic.

I am so excited about this change and honestly am disappointed in all of the comments asking you to keep posting your daily eats.

    How selfish of them.

This is your blog, after all.

But, I guess you can’t please all the people all the time.

I have been a reader since almost the beginning and I have loved the progression of your blog. It is so apparent that your goal is to just be yourself and by breaking the mold, you are doing a fabulous job of that. I stopped doing the “everything I eat” thing almost a year and a half ago and it was the best decision I ever made for myself and my blog.

  • Christena
    August 13, 2010 at 4:22 am

I love the new direction you are taking your blog! I love and benefit from “healthy living blogs,” but to be totally honest, I just do not get the “here’s what I ate & drank today” blogs that photograph every.single.meal and snack and list how much of it they ate! I think it is bizarre sometimes. When I look at those blogs, I skim over the food “reporting” to find something of substance, like recipes or the actual thoughts/experiences/advice of the blogger. I much prefer recipes + stories versus lists of “my salad/oatmeal/cereal contained…” Another thing you do not do is post thousands of pictures of yourself, including random self-portraits holding an apple or a protein bar, etc. I guess what I am trying to say is that your blog has substance and I like it. It has developed into a writing blog instead of a diary/food report. I think this sets it apart from most all of the other blogs out there. Keep up the great work!

I agree completely, especially about this blogger’s lack of self-aggrandizement via hundreds of superfluous, “look-at-me!” photos. It’s a bit nauseating to encounter! Here, substance > ego.

Hi Jenna, As a late twenties girl who has enjoyed cooking more I will really enjoy your step by step recipes…last night instead of making the cookies you did I just browned my butter for my cookie recipe and it really gave them a ‘warm’ tastes. thanks for the culinary experiment! Good luck with technology …blah

Jenna, of course, you’ve heard the old cliche, however, it happens to be true: “Life is Short.” I’m much older than you and, looking back, wish I had come to the conclusions you have in my mid-20s, which is to say: never give your power away, listen to your own intuition, which is often spiritual guidance from the higher soul level, and you’ll always be on the right path….and when we are on the right path, the doors just open to us!

Like everything about your blog, but mostly it is the transparency that draws me in. Nothing about it seems contrived to me.

Yes, it is your website, one that I have always enjoyed reading. As a person with an eating disorder, I have gained so much knowledge by seeing what a healthy person eats each day. We all treat ourselves and enjoy what I call our luxury meals and the memory of those great meals stays with us. Seeing what you eat each day and implimenting those changes in my own life (especially your breakfasts and lunches) has made such an enormous difference in my sloooow recovery.
I welcome your changes, however, I’d still love to see or you refer to your regular meals!

This may be a pointless comment since there area already about 150 other people cheering you on but…

I’m so excited for your change. I’ve noticed that over the past few months you’ve taken the blog in a new direction and I love it. To be honest, I usually scroll right past the What I Ate Today part of food and health blogs anyhow. When you’ve seen one bowl of oats you’ve seen them all. I swear. And though I think it’s great to hear about how someone went for a run, I generally zone out when it comes to the exact mileage and pace and whatnot. The reason I read a blog is for the personality, and that’s what I love most about yours.

What you’ve chosen to keep in the new ELR are the exact things that get me excited to read your blog every day. And I really appreciate the no advertisement policy. I’m not sure if other bloggers know it, but we readers can tell when something is promoted because it was free. Sometimes it feels like paid-for-placement product overload.

    So, yeah, go you.

  • Elisabeth

I plan on eating very well now that you’re posting more recipes! 😀

It’s wonderful to hear you acknowledge your own evolution and the corresponding changes in your blog, Jenna. Kudos for nixing the endorsements – no matter how it is done, in my personal opinion, it “cheapens” the bloggers credibilty in all areas. I’ve voiced some criticism in response to your tone recently, so in fairness, I want to praise you for your new game plan.

On similar note, I’d love it if you would continue/expand on the book nerd club concept – perhaps incorporating the discussions into the BNC tab would improve facilitation/ongoing dialogue and make it easier to access for latecomers or those who wish to read later posts. This feature as well as your recent intro. of terrific step by step recipes are so unique/fun and distinguishable from what others are doing.

So excited re. your new direction…

I am looking forward to the changes. I have abandoned several blogs, because I am so tired of seeing every single thing that the person eats. If I see one more carrot dipped in peanut butter, I may have to reconsider some of the blogs I follow with Google Reader. LOL!

I think that’s the good thing about blogs though. As we grow and change, so do our blogs. The same goes for those that we read. When we move on in our lives, there will be blogs that we continue to follow and blogs that we drop.

I love following your daily journeys…much more interesting than continuous bowls of oatmeal!

I loved your last post. It was once I grasped the concept that I could eat the real thing that I started losing weight and conquering my eating disorder. And now I’m healthier than I have ever been, I eat what I want (and I want to make healthy choices…75% of the time!) and I exercise. You can eat what you want and be a healthy weight if you stop when you are full and exercise. 🙂

This just seems like a good next step in your journey, Jenna! To be honest, I lost interest for a while because I really didn’t care to read about another bowl of oatmeal. What originally drew me to your blog were your recipes, your obvious love of food (and eating it!) and your quirky musings. When you cook and talk about food I am inspired to cook and try new things myself. To me, that is what truly makes a blog interesting and makes me want to keep coming back. (And tempting us with those brown butter chocolate chip cookies doesn’t hurt either). Congrats on this new direction, I am excited to see where it takes you!

I think that your new ideas are great, but I still really enjoyed hearing about your fitness ventures since your blog IS called “Eat, Live, Run.” It includes fitness and I would really hope you still include some fitness activities in your blog posts since it’s all a part of living a healthy lifestyle. I also enjoyed seeing what you ate everyday. I mean, recipes DO help your readers, but it’s great to see the small snacks or the meals you make because to be honest, I base my meals/recipes off your “what I ate today” pictures than anything else. Seeing the photos helps generate more ideas with food. I would hope that you would include some of these factors a little in your blog. I will still follow regardless, but I know that was a huge reason why my friends and I followed your blog.

    Jenna,

Keep up the great work! I’ve been a loyal reader for years now and I support your change 100%. My focus has shifted from just workouts and daily eats to celebrating food and family and friends and eating! So I welcome this and love the new twist..keep those great recipes coming!

I know that everyone has already said it all, but I wanted to throw my hat in the “good for you” ring. I love the new direction. After reading the “big” blogs for 3 plus years, I usually skip over the daily eats and exercises anyway. I think moving this direction is a much more sustainable way to blog.

Kudos to you for embracing this new direction, especially with the product review policy. I’ve been reading your blog for almost 2 years and love it now more than ever! Love your honesty and “realness.”

I am definitely going to miss the “what I ate today” and the posts about exercise. I started reading this blog to find out about healthy foods/recipes that I may not have know about and for inspiration/motivation to keep on running. I am a 100% supporter of “everything in moderation” and the celebration of food – but that wasn’t why I started reading this blog.

All that being said, I won’t stop reading, I still think you’re an amazing writer and have a great “I’ll try anything once” attitude, I’ll just have to look elsewhere for my health food/exercise inspiration.

Awesome! Hooray for changes – I think changing is what happens all the time in life, not just your 20s! I will definitely keep reading – I love your blog. But I do like hearing about your exercising – it keeps me motivated!

Well I’m a newer reader, so I have been enjoying your blog as it takes a new direction anyway-and I live in the area so I really enjoy seeing the destinations and restaurants that are right in my own backyard. Looking forward to the new version of your blog too.

dear jenna, this makes me so happy. your food philosophy and musing are why i started reading your blog so long ago. i enjoy your recipes and gorgeous photography and even though im mostly vegan, i still get so much from your bacon filled posts. i hate to admit it (bc it sounds mean), but some of the things you are now leaving behind (plugging, advertising, etc.) are some of the reasons i stopped reading for a while. it may seem hypocritical since i do have opensky, but ive pretty much stopped working with them at this point because it got to be a headache and wasnt why i started blogging in the first place. i am really really REALLY looking forward to the new ELR.
    my best, elise

I know I’m late to this post but just want to say I’m SO excited for the new ELR. I’m a reader for life and can’t wait to see what you have in store for us! I honestly think you’re keeping all the reasons why I come back to your site everyday anyway 🙂 Congrats!

I think that honoring personal evolution in all respects of life is healthy, and why should one’s blog be any different? The new direction seems like it will allow you to continue to grow as a writer, and maintain integrity and authenticity while doing so; I think these are two of the most important entities to remain true to. I especially respect that there is risk involved with this decision, but I think that your readers will continue to eat up your words!

Thank you for finally speaking the truth. It’s hard to be yourself on the web, you want to present an image, I know.
But it’s time to step out and say your piece.

I am so excited that you’re going to be emphasizing the best bits of your blog and cutting out the more corporate stuff. I’ve stopped reading so many blogs in the past due to otherwise reading a review of the same yogurt 16 times, and I love seeing the food you get to eat in California, and reading your recipes. I’ll look forward to more!

Jenna – For some reason I don’t mind the product reviews/open sky links on other blogs, but I never felt they fit in on ELR for some reason. They seemed forced/out of place and in my face on here… perhaps it was because that’s just not you! I love your exercise and meal recaps, but I can go to other blogs for that. Good luck with your new direction, I will definitely stick with you!

    Hi Jenna,
I’ve been following your blog almost since you started and I’m so impressed with how it has evolved (writing, photography, focus, etc.). I can so relate to so much of it (changes and all) because I, too, am a twenty-something who changes everyday! I’m also really inspired by all that you do. Thanks for always being so authentic.

I’m catching up on blog reading so this is very late to be chiming in, but I’m excited for the blog changes and can’t wait to see what’s in store! I love reading about all your CA adventures and love the “cooking lessons” and musings on books, etc that you post. That being said, I will miss your posts on meals and snacks because like others have said before me, I got alot of ideas and inspiration from them. Hopefully you can still incorporate some of your daily meals sometimes? Anyways, best of luck with ELR 2.0, I’ll still be reading regardless of what changes happen!

in LOVE LOVE LOVE with ELR2.0! a few months ago i completely stopped reading “healthy living” blogs when i realized that it was far too obsessive to read other people’s diets and workouts every single day. i stopped obsessing, started eating real food (read: not shunning white flour or sugar), running to the beat of my own drum, and drinking in life again. thank you for staying true to yourself and celebrating the joys of food and life! <333
