Water Works
Dec 23rd, 2009 by jenna
Morning!
Well, yoga was out this morning…as was really anything else because at the last minute I recalled that there was an order in to fix something with my water and, therefore, the water would be turned off from 8 am-2pm today. This meant both my mom and I had to shower pre-8:00 hour because that would be the only chance today for cleanliness. Usually I’d just swipe my hair up in a ponytail or braids but we have dinner reservations tonight so I felt like I should attempt to clean myself up a bit. Hmm
Breakfast was oatmeal:
1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1/2 cup water, 1 banana, 1 T almond butter

About to head down to the city now for a lunch at TARTINE (!!!) and then picking my dad up from the airport! Is Christmas Eve really tomorrow?!

Meh…showers are overrated. I hope you enjoy the day with the ‘rents!
Your almond butter looks like dark chocolate icecream and that photo! I can’t believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve either!
Yes it is… can’t believe it much myself
I’m sure your hair looks great, always does
enjoy your holiday season with the family!
Enjoy your day with your parents! Tartine is sooooooooooo good
Have a great time with your parents in the city. You sound like a local now “in the city.” awwww.
Mmm, I love tartines. When I visited Paris, a ham and brie tartine with a side salad and a glass of wine was my favorite lunch! Enjoy the time with your folks
Tartine is supposed to be delicious! Enjoy!
have a great day! can’t you shower at the yoga studio? i imagine driving home after bikram to be kinda gross… your poor car seat!
Yes, tomorrow is Christmas Eve!!!
I had to laugh out loud when I saw your almond butter! Everyone always askd how you get it so runny! This time it is in no way runny! Does kind of look like chocolate!
Have an amazing time with your mom in the city…and with your dad when he gets there!
I know, I can’t believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve! So glad you get to enjoy it with your mom and dad
Great oats today!
Eh sometimes I don’t shower. I don’t know if it would have derailed me…lol…I am disgusting.
I know…I can’t believe it’s so close! I hope you have a wonderful California Christmas with your parents, Jenna!
I can’t start the day without a shower! Enjoy your day with your mom…
Hey, your almond butter isn’t runny this time! You must be nearing the end of the jar, haha!
I hate it when my building shuts off the water for repair! It always seems to happen at the most inconvenient times! Once I even had to shower at the gym for a whole week until my hot water finally kicked back on, it was aweful!
Nice bowl of oats again. You are too happy girl…its inspirational.
Tartine is awesome. The bread is the best! Fresh out of the oven with good butter is something everyone must experience.
I went to Tartine when I visited last summer and LOOOOOVEd it!! The bread was ridic!
I am about to head to the airport to pick up my best friend – so I feel your arrival excitement!! Have a delish dinner and fun meeting your Dad!
Have fun with your parents!! So exciting that they both came out to spend Christmas with you. I know what you mean– how does this season always fly by so fast?!?
Wow, your almond butter is solid this time. What gives?
Had my first almond butter this morning – can’t believe I’ve been missing out for so long!
have a great day!!
Christmas has really snuck up this year — hard to believe!
sounds like you are having a great visit with your mom. I bet when your dad comes it will be even better
Showers Shmowers!!
Kidding – with the hot yoga you do, you’d probably regret not having water.
That’s so exciting both your parents are going to be there for Christmas! How wonderful.
I really need to get some of this almond butter. I will have to make a trip to WHole foods soon.
Breakfast of champs!
I know. I am still in shock that Christmas Eve is tomorrow. This can’t be for real! I’m glad that your Dad was able to make it to Florida! Have fun with your family.
the almond butter isn’t “melty” this time! *shocked face*
Have fun with both of the ‘rents!
Have a blast tonight with your parents! And yes, I cannot believe it is Christmas Eve tomorrow EITHER!
Christmas sure did come fast this year eh? Its so nice that your parents were able to come and spend it with you!
I know right?! Christmas came so fast this year!!!! Hope you have a great day with you mom!
Have a great Christmas with your family. You are a lucky girl.
Jenna, I hope you have a great time at lunch. I hate it when they interfere with our water… so frustrating!! >:-(
I know!!! Can you believe it’s already Christmas Eve Eve??
hope you have non-greasy hair for christmas eve’s eve!
I love that giant heaping of almond buttaaah!
Jenna, You crack me UP. I lived in The City for years before I ventured beyond my prissy Pacific Heights-Nob Hill-Marina-Cow Hollow-North Beach-Financial District-Embarcadero borders. I was kind of a dipstick! You’ve already been to the Tenderloin/Mission etc. Yo! Wassup! Next you’ll be wearing Jay-Z. Bwahaha.
Love Tartine; I especially like their bread and croque-monsieur.
